Perfection in every step
We carefully select each slab of wood from a local lumberyard, cutting them to highlight their best features while minimizing leftover wood.
During the gluing process, the wood’s natural patterns and grain are aligned to create seamless transitions between layers.
Shapes are carved with a precision-guided milling machine, and any imperfections are hand-sanded to perfection. After the engraving and painting process, it is sanded and polished before a protective wooden finish is applied.
Resolution: Detail or Smoothness?
Resolution refers to the different sizes of milling bits used in the operations. Higher resolutions create intricate, sharp details, while lower resolutions result in a smoother, tactile surface.
We recommend higher resolutions for those who appreciate the finest of details and lower resolutions for those who prefer a softer finish.
Dimensions:
The dimensions of every mountain's the base follows the golden ratio (21.5x13.5 cm | 8.46x5.31 in). The height of each mountain varies.
Perfectly Scaled
Each mountain is scaled down proportionally, in order to preserve its original steepness and shape.
Keeping it Organic
Leftover material doesn’t go to waste—it is the perfect ingredient to making compost, as the small chips degrade very easily in nature.
