Native Americans called the lake Leelanau meaning "delight of life". Located adjacent to the Grand Traverse Bay in northwestern Michigan, the lake measures approximately 21 miles long. Our attractive map is carved into Baltic Birch wood, and shows water depths as well as points of interest on the surrounding land. The vertical carving shows the entire lake.
